4th of July

So, this year I had a great 4th of July. I spent the evening in Charlottesville with some of my most favorite people in the world - some of my sorority sisters :) We were at Jessica & Steve's Wedding @ King Family Vineyard in Crozet. It was a beautiful wedding and we of course had a blast. It's always so fun to get together with those girls. Here is a picture of all of us:

As far as the rest of the weekend just a lot of time spent with my sister an dhelping out with Conner. Hung out with Callie and just layed low :) All in all...a good weekend!!

Sinus and Lymph Node Infections....

Soooo, what a week. I have sinus and lymph node infections and feel pretty crappy :( The entire left side of my head is throbbing...not fun at all.

My sister is on bed rest still and we're just waiting for the doctor to say they're ready to deliver her. So, we're still awaiting little Brayden's arrival.

I got a call and I have an interview scheduled for Nursing School - so I'm both excited and nervous about that. I'm still applying for jobs and not really getting anywhere - surprise surprise!

I guess that's really all that's new with me. Just trying to feel better at this point!!

Never a dull moment...

So, let's see. Of course it's 11:15 on a Friday and instead of being out, I'm at home writing on here...but, oh well. The past couple months have been like that for me. No real desire to go out much...besides, having no money doesn't allow for having frequent evenings out!

Ok, sooooo...this weekend is Jackson's baptism. Which means lots of family time :) Should be fun..get to hang out w/ my sister-in-law's fam and all the kids.

Yesterday, my sister (Aimee) was put on bed rest for high blood pressure so I've been trying to help out with Conner. This afternoon my mom and I moved Conner into his new room and got the nursery ready for Brayden Edward, who will probably make his entrance into the world earlier than expected and within the next 2 weeks. Mama is doing alright and trying to stay as imobile as she can allow herself. But, it's funny how doing nothing stinks when someone tells you that you have to do nothing!

Other than that nothing really crazy with me. I turned in my nursing school application at the beginning of the week so I'm just anxiously awaiting hearing about that - though I have absolutely no idea when I'll hear something! The funds I had saved up are starting to dwindle, so I'm going to have to find some sort of income - though I don't know what yet! Right now I've just been focused on helping out with all the kids - yes, all 5 niece and nephews...soon to be 6 (we're crazy)..

I'm sad to say that I have to miss my friend Jessica's Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party in nova this weekend :( But I will see all my gals in a couple weeks in C-ville for the big wedding - so excited!!!!! Always look forward to those Chi O reunions!!!

Well, have a fabulous weekend!!!

Long time....

So, I know it has been over a week since I posted anything - I apologize! It has been a crazy week. My aunts are coming into town from PA tomorrow, so I've been helping my sister spruce up her house and also helping out with all the kids - as usual :) I love being Aunt Katy...it's so great! Its been so fun spending so much time w/ the fam and getting to know my new nephew. I definitely think I needed it after everything I've been through - I needed that feeling that I am wanted and needed. And, I've definitely gotten it lately.

So, tonight was our first Kickball game...woohoo! Unfortunately, we lost...BUT, it was still a lot of fun. It was just fun to get outside and do something active w/ my friends. Hopefully next week we'll win :) Fingers crossed....

So, for the rest of this week will be some serious family time w/ the aunts in town and father's day. I'm looking forward to it. I've been finishing up my nursing school application to turn it in...getting nervous about that too. And, still trying to find some sort of employment to provide me with some income. So, we'll see what happens.

All I know is that for the first time in a while I think I am genuinely happy with the way my life is going. Now it's just time to figure out where I go from here....

Sex and the what????

Soooo, I'm still stuck somewhere between Virginia and California in my timing. My body is still out of whack and I tend to be awake when I should be sleeping and sleeping when I should be awake. It has never affected me like this...hopefully it will correct itself soon :)

Ok, so I couldn't be more excited about this weekend. Tomorrow night we're going to see Sex and the City!!!! I can't wait to see this movie. I don't think I've been this excited about a new movie in a long time. I know me and the girls will have a blast..and then it's out to celebrate Sarah's birthday. Also, sure to be a great time. I know it will be a fantastic evening :)

Then Sat night I'm hanging out w/ the girls from my old work and I can't wait! Love the grown up slumber parties - always a blast!

Sunday is Country Fest and since I'm a huge Sugarland fan, I couldn't be more excited about this either. So, all in all it should shape up to be a fantastic weekend. I usually don't say that b/c I ultimately end up disappointed...but I'm sure it will all be great!

Hope that you have a great weekend as well and I'm sure I'll have stories at the end of all this :) Until then...

Heading Home...

Sadly, I'm down to my last 15 hours in Cali. Tomorrow I head back to the East Coast. I've had tons of fun spending time with the Macniders :) The weather has been not so desirable but I'll trade that for good company.

Don't worry, more to come, but for now it's off to bed before my long trip home tomorrow!

CALIFORNIA

So, I finally made it out to Cali...after a cancelled flight and a long day! Apparently, I also brought the rain with me! Though it gives me lots of bonding time with Jen and Colton :)

Have no fear, I'm having a blast and I'll be home next week! Love you, mean it!
